I also saw those at Dillards. They are charger plates. In a place setting, these plates go under the dinner plate. It makes for a more festive look. They are not for food service. Charger plates are usually plastic.

Often times HLC will make specific pieces for either Dillard's or Macy's. Eventually they will be available on line.
