1st purports to be "flawless;" however, it may not be. What you want to avoid are handles that aren't attached well, i.e. no gaps, handles on tea pots, pitchers, etc. should be filled with clay to keep liquids out of them. In other ways, the piece may be "perfect." Sand bumps, glazing skips, pops, misses, etc. are seconds. Good luck! Quality control varies with HLC.
